How to paint Princess Leia Organa for Star Wars Legion

Bienvenidos de nuevo al Blog. Hoy os traigo la guía de pintura de la Princesa Leia Organa para Star Wars Legion. En esta ocasión al ser un comandante le he dedicado algo más de tiempo, aplicando luces a distintas partes de la miniatura. Espero que os guste el resultado y os sea fácil pintar las vuestras.

Welcome back to the Blog. Today I bring you the painting guide of Princess Leia Organa for Star Wars Legion. On this occasion I have spent a little more time painting this commander, applying lights to different parts of the model. I hope you like the result and make it easy for you to paint yours.

Lo primero de todo es hacer un poco de investigación con la ropa original que llevó en la película para ver que colores tenían. Aún así, yo he decidido iluminarlos un poco más para que resalte sobre mis peanas del desierto.

First of all, I did a little research with the original clothes that Princess Leia brought in the movie to see what colors they had. Even so, I have decided to light them up a bit more so that it stands out on my desert bases.

1º Imprimación - Primer

Vallejo Surface Primer

En primer lugar he imprimado a Leia con el Surface Primer de Vallejo pintado con el aerógrafo.

First of all I primed princess Leia with Vallejo Surface Primer painted with an airbrush.

2º Caras y manos - Flesh

Cadian Fleshtone - Games Workshop

Para el color base de la piel he utilizado Cadian Fleshtone, aplicado en dos finas capas.

For the base tone of the skin I used Cadian Fleshtone, painted in two thin layers.

3º Camisa interior - Shirt

821 German Camo Beige - Vallejo

824 German Camo Orange Ochre - Vallejo

Para pintar la camisa interior he utilizado una mezcla 1/3 de 821(1) German Camo Beige y 824(3) German Camo Orange Ochre, para obtener de esta forma el color tierra anaranjado de su camisa.

For the shirt I decided to paint with a mix  1/3 of 821(1) German Camo Beige and 824(3) German Camo Orange Ochre, to obtain the orange earth colour of her shirt.

4º Chaleco - Vest

833 German Camo Bright Green - Vallejo

924 Russian Uniform - Vallejo

Para pintar su chaleco decidí usar dos tonos de verde, uno más apagado 924 Russian Uniform y otro más brillante para resaltar un poco más la miniatura, 833 German Camo Bright Green. La mezcla ha sido 1 parte de 924 y 3 de 833.
For painting the vest I decided yo use two green colours. One more darkest 924 Russian Uniform and other more bright to pop up the miniature, 833 German Camo Bright Green. The mix is 1 part of 924 and 3 part of 833.

5º Pantalones - Pants

943 Grey Blue - Vallejo

870 Medium Sea Grey - Vallejo

Para los pantalones quería un tono azul más apagado que el utilizado en las camisas de los soldados rebeldes de la flota. Para ello mezclé 2 partes de 943 Grey blue con 1 parte de 870 Medium Sea Grey.
For the trousers I want a more greyish blue tone that I used for my rebels fleet troopers shirts. I mix 2 parts of 943 Grey Blue and 1 part of 870 Medium Sea Grey.

6º Cinturón - Belt

890 Reflective Green - Vallejo

7º Tira pantalón - Pant Stripe

Averland Sunset - Games Workshop

8º Pelo - Hair

872 Chocolate Brown - Vallejo

9º Arma y botas - Weapon, Boots and Pouches

950 Black - Vallejo - Vallejo

995 German Grey - Vallejo

Para pintar la pistola, las botas y todas las bolsas que lleva el cinturón he utilizado una mezcla al 50% de 950 Black y 995 German Grey.
For painting the pistol, boots and pouches of her belt I used a 50% mix of 950 Black and 995 German Grey.

Carne - Flesh - Reikland Fleshshade - Games Workshop

Camisa y Chaleco - Shirt and Vest - 1 Agrax Earthshade + 1 Lahmian Medium

Pantalones - Pants - 1 Nuln Oil + 1 Drakenhof + 5 Lahmian Medium

Tras aplicar las tintas paso a iluminar algunas partes de la miniatura.

Luces - Highlights

Carne - Flesh

1º Capa - 1º Layer - Cadian Fleshtone

2º Capa - 2º Layer - (1) Cadian Fleshtone + (1) 927 Dark Flesh - Vallejo

Camisa interior - Shirt

(1) 833 German Camo Beige + (3) 824 German Camo Orange Ochre - Vallejo

Chaleco - Vest

(3) 833 German Camo Bright Green + (1) 924 Russian Uniform - Vallejo

Cinturón - Belt

890 Reflective Green - Vallejo

Pelo - Hair

872 Brown Chocolate - Vallejo

995 German Grey - Vallejo

Baseado - Basing

Para el baseado he seguido los mismos pasos que para los soldados de la flota, aunque dejo de nuevo los pasos a continuación:

For basing I follow the same steps that I used for my rebel fleet troopers. Although yo can see it in the next steps:

1º Aplico Pasta Arena Desierto de Vallejo en algunas zonas de la peana, el resto las pinto con 872 Marrón Chocolate de Vallejo. Será en este paso en el que añada también algunas piedras a la peana.

1º I applied Desert Sand Earth Texture from Vallejo in some areas of the base, I painted the rest with 872 Chocolate Brown. It will be in this step where you also can add some stones to the bases.

2º Sobra las zonas anteriormente pintadas de marrón aplico la pasta Agrellan Earth de Games Workshop y espero que seque 24 horas.

2º Above the areas previously painted in brown, I applied Agrellan Earth texture from Games Workshop and I wait 24 hours.

3º Una vez seca la textura Agrellan Earth aplico sobre toda la base una tinta Agrax Earthshade para oscurecer y unificar tonos.

3º Once the texture is dry, I applied a Shade of Agrax Earthshade over the entire base to darken and unify it.

 4º Por último aplico sobre la peana dos pinceles secos con 819 - Iraqui Sand y 847 - Dark Sand sobre toda la peana, incluyendo las zonas texturizadas con agrellan y las piedras. Por último pinto el borde de la peana con 921 - Uniforme Inglés. En este momento también se pueden añadir algunas plantas o hierbas decorativas.

4º Finally, I applied two dry brushes with 819 - Iraqui Sand and 847 - Dark Sand on the base, including the textured areas with agrellan and the stones. Finally I painted the edge of the base with 921 - English uniform. At this moment you can add some tufts 

Pues hasta aquí este tutorial de pintura, en el próximo tutorial cambiaremos de universo para pintar unos orcos de moria de El Señor de los Anillos para el juego Middle Earth Strategy Battle Game. A partir de ahora iré alternando miniaturas de Star Wars con miniaturas de El Señor de los Anillos.

Here ends this tutorial painting, the next tutorial I'm going to change of universe to paint some moria's goblins from "Lord of the Rings" for the game "Middle Earth Strategy Battle Game". From this moment I'm going to alternate painting miniatures from Star Wars and Lord of the Rings.

Para el proyecto de El Señor de los Anillos voy a ir siguiendo los fascículos publicados de este juego hace ya muchos años, de forma que iré publicando poco a poco las guías de pintura de todas las miniaturas que fueron entregadas con cada fascículo.

For the project of The Lord of the Rings I will be following the published fascicles of this game many years ago, so I will be publishing the painting guides of all the miniatures that were gave with each issue.
